We are Here

For any of you who read film essay site A Bright Wall in a Dark Room, which I have been contributing to since June, check out Film Projections, a multimedia companion site.  I have just posted the below video to Film Projections, which unites my love of film with my love of astronomy.  And Carl Sagan's voice is always so soothing, even if he does pronounce 'humans' as "yoo-minz."

If film is the way we represent the human experience in fiction, astronomy is how we perceive our existence in truth. Film montage over a Carl Sagan commentary of our isolated existence in our little region of the universe.

"Astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience."
